A caring and dynamic individual that will provide support for students struggling to engage with the education system and work to improve behaviour and engagement in school life.

• To manage and coordinate the day‑to‑day function and development of the school’s assessment of the behaviour of students who require alternative, short‑term provision in addition to mainstream provision to engage in school life.
• The school has an additional provision for students who struggle to engage in mainstream learning.
• To be responsible for the coordination of programmes of support for students working through the Refocus Room, working with and directly supporting students accessing it.
• To be responsible for delivering appropriate behaviour strategies set within the ethos of the school which will contribute to improved behaviour and attendance in support of learning.
• To administer, supervise, and coordinate work from relevant subject areas, including the use of resources designed to support personalised learning and reflection.

A flexible and resilient individual that can work as part of a team, and independently as part of their role, that can implement behaviour systems and processes. A capable person who will be able to support students in challenging circumstances.

The Thomas Hall grounds, on the outskirts of Exeter, offer a site of inspiring natural beauty. Our main building was built in the 1600s, with established woodlands surrounding the main campus area. The building was part of Exeter University’s Duryard Halls of Residence for nearly 100 years before becoming a school. In 2023, Thomas Hall School joined Reach South Academy Trust.
