South West Learning is a community of qualified teachers dedicated to addressing the growing SEND crisis across the South West of England. Led by an experienced leadership team with backgrounds in secondary education and alternative provision, we are directed by teachers, for teachers. We offer a robust, sequenced curriculum and provide high quality 1:1 tuition for children in schools and alternative provision settings.
We pride ourselves on our high quality teachers who have expertise in safeguarding, behaviour support, and adapting to complex SEND needs.
- Deliver tailored education to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), EHCPs, or SEMH issues.
- Work within a flexible timetable in various settings, including students' homes, schools, or community spaces.
- Adapt and deliver creative, personalised lessons including, but not limited to, core subjects (Maths, English, Science)
- Collaborate with families and professionals to promote the best interests of the child and report on tangible progress.

We are looking for passionate, specialist educators who meet the following criteria:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching students with SEND, SEMH, MLD, or SLD (ideally 2+ years).
- Ability to deliver core subjects or willingness to learn (English, Maths, or Science) at various Key Stages
- Knowledge of safeguarding and the importance of building a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes for vulnerable learners.
- Candidates will need to be registered on the DBS Update Service. Support with how to do this will be provided by SWL
