Overview

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a number of supportive schools across Exeter, and we are currently looking for an experienced SENDCo to join one of our partner schools. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about inclusion and ensuring every pupil has access to the support they need to thrive.

The successful SENDCo will play a key role in leading the school's SEND provision, working closely with teachers, support staff, parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure high-quality support is in place for pupils with additional needs.

• Lead and coordinate the school's SEND provision, ensuring high-quality support for pupils with additional needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, parents, carers, and external professionals.
• Monitor and review SEND processes to ensure compliance with relevant codes of practice and statutory requirements.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• The National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it)
• Previous experience as a SENDCo or within a SEND leadership role
• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice

• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
• A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
