1-1 Teaching Assistant - Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support

Salary: £90 - £95 per day

Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Contract Duration: 6 months starting on 01/09/2026

• Provide 1‑1 support and assistance to a small group of SEN pupils throughout the school day, helping them to achieve their academic and developmental goals.
• Utilise effective behaviour management techniques to support the pupils and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with the teaching staff and SENCO to develop tailored strategies and interventions to meet the specific needs of the pupils.
• Foster a supportive and nurturing atmosphere to enhance the pupils' learning experience and overall well‑being.
• Utilise the provided resources and work closely with the school's inclusive approach to ensure the best outcomes for SEN pupils.

• Previous experience in providing 1‑1 support to pupils with SEN, particularly those with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
• Strong understanding and experience in behaviour management techniques is essential for this role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both pupils and staff.
• A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for SEN pupils.
