At Devon County Council, we are nationally renowned for our top recycling rates. In order to push these figures higherand even more importantly reduce the volume of waste that is created, we need tomake sure we are communicating the right information to the right people in the right way.

This is where you come in.

You willbe working in ourbehaviour change team toassistin developing and implementing our waste prevention, reuse and recycling campaigns,ensuring we make the most of every opportunity to influence and engage with the general public. You will make sure thewww.recycledevon.org website is relevant,appealingand up-to-date and you will be involved in digital marketing;keeping our social networkingprofilesrunning smoothlyand up to date with fresh and engaging content.

You will alsobe responsible formonitoringand reporting onthe effectiveness ofour digital marketingactivitiesusing tools such as Google analytics. We would also like you to have creative input in the development and delivery of a wide range of community engagement events. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the way waste prevention, reuse and recycling is seen across the entire county, and to make a difference to help protect our planet for future generations.

Along with an understanding ofdigitalmarketing and communication techniques, you will be educated to degree level orhaveequivalent experience in a relevant discipline.

Experience of writing for a wide range of audiences along with knowledge of Canva or similarprogrammes/software, would be a bonus. You will have a good grasp of Microsoft Office and will be quick to pick up our ways of working, learning on the job. Enthusiastic and confident, creative and innovative, you have first-class communication skills and appreciate the importance of customer care.

You are organised, efficient andalways work accurately to tight deadlines and the highest standards.
