About
The Role
As our Fluid Power Technician, you will have a sound knowledge of fluid power engineering and work as part of a customer facing team. This is a hands-on engineering support role involving maintenance and upkeep within a manufacturing plant and workshop environment.
Working Hours
40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Out of hours and weekend work will be required on an ad hoc basis.
Key Responsibilities As Our Fluid Power Technician Will Include
- Servicing of hydraulic systems onsite and inhouse.
- Workshop assembly and test of hydraulic & pneumatic systems
- Assembly and installation of hydraulic hoses and fittings.
- Onsite air leak surveys and following up with remedial work.
- General mechanical engineering.
- Engagement with customers and Hayley branch staff
- Excellent general engineering & hand tool skills
- Fluid power experience
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good time management skills
- Problem solving
- Intermediate IT skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering
- Cetop stage 1 hydraulic expertise.
- Basic pneumatics skills at Level 1.
- Proven record in the MRO environment for hydraulic systems.
- Confident in fully identifying hose assemblies which need changing or cataloguing.
- Ability to understand the basics of a hydraulic systems and the implications of replacing hose assemblies within a customer’s manufacturing environment.
- From 23 days annual leave (plus public/bank holidays) increased with length of service.
