Geoenvironmental Consultant

We’re seeking a Geoenvironmental Consultant to join Stantec’s Energy team in the UK. The role focuses on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and hydrogeology, supporting clean energy infrastructure projects across the UK.

• Support feasibility and planning stages of energy and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review Phase 1 desk studies and contaminated land reports.
• Collect, review, and interpret ground investigation and laboratory data.
• Contribute to scoping reports, Preliminary Environmental Information Reports (PEIR) and Environmental Statements (ES).
• Write clear, concise, and technically robust reports tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate across disciplines and attend site visits or consultation events as required.

• A degree in geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, environmental science, or a related subject.
• Experience in environmental/engineering consultancy or ground investigation contracting.
• Experience contributing to or delivering EIAs.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Knowledge of hydrogeology and contaminated land assessment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Motivation to work toward chartership with a relevant professional body.

• Experience preparing PEIRs, ESs, and technical documents for DCO applications.
