This is a hands-on, improvement-focused role suited to someone who enjoys being close to production, driving efficiencies, and supporting both existing product ranges and new product introduction.
The Role
Reporting into the Lean / Production Engineering function, you'll play a key part in improving quality, throughput, safety, and cost efficiency across manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects across production
Supporting new product introduction from a manufacturability and quality perspective
Working closely with Lean, Production, and wider internal teams
Conducting feasibility studies and delivering approved improvement initiatives
Developing and maintaining operating instructions and production documentation
Supporting quality standards, change requests, and production reviews
Liaising with suppliers and external partners as required What We're Looking For
Essential:
HNC / HND (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline
Experience delivering manufacturing or continuous improvement projects
Background in sheet metal fabrication and associated manufacturing processes
Strong understanding of quality tools (DFMEA / PFMEA)
Confident communicator with good written and reporting skills
Commercially aware and solutions-focused Desirable:
New Product Introduction (NPI) experience
Project management experience
Exposure to VA/VE, Root Cause Analysis, VSM, 8D
Experience in batch manufacturing environments Why Apply?
