PhD Studentship - Computational and ML Modelling of Low Temperature Plasmas PhD; CoFunded
PhD Studentship in Computational Modelling and Optimisation of Plasma Systems
We invite applications for a fully funded PhD studentship focused on the computational modelling and optimisation of plasma deposition systems, in collaboration with Oxford Instruments.
Low-temperature plasmas play a critical role in advanced manufacturing, yet their design and control remain challenging. This project aims to develop computational models to support the optimisation of plasma atomic layer deposition equipment. The PhD student will undertake numerical simulation, optimisation studies, and explore machine-learning-based surrogate models to accelerate design and control workflows.
This PhD studentship would suit candidates with backgrounds or interests in engineering, physics, applied mathematics, computational modelling, or data science.
The studentship provides full PhD funding, including tuition fees and a tax-free stipend for the duration of the programme.
Please apply via the ‘Apply’button above.
UK and International tuition fees and an annual tax-free stipend of at least £21,805 per year
