We’re recruiting an experienced Section Engineer to take ownership of a defined work package on a flagship civil engineering scheme in Britain’s Ocean City.
This is a nationally significant marine infrastructure project delivering complex reinforced concrete and heavy civils works. It’s long-term, technically demanding and highly visible.

The Role

As Section Engineer, you’ll take responsibility for a key section of works, acting as the link between site engineering, subcontractors and senior management.
You’ll lead the engineering delivery of your package, ensuring works are executed safely, accurately and in line with programme.

Key responsibilities include:

Taking ownership of a defined section of works
Managing Site Engineers and supporting their development
Coordinating subcontractors and site activities
Ensuring quality standards are maintained
Reviewing and checking drawings
Drafting and reviewing RAMS
Supporting commercial discussions with QS teams
Monitoring programme and driving short-term planning
Contributing to technical problem-solving on complex RC and marine works
Maintaining high standards of health & safety  This is a hands-on leadership role with real accountability.

About You

We’re looking for a Section Engineer with strong heavy civils experience and the confidence to lead from the front.
You’ll bring:
 
Experience working as a Section or Senior Site Engineer on major civil engineering projects
Strong background in reinforced concrete structures
Marine or large infrastructure experience desirable
Solid understanding of quality-led delivery and engineering controls
Strong communication and coordination skills
HNC / HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
Ability to obtain SC Security Clearance  You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility for performance on your section.
