Design Manager – Environment Agency team (South‑West). 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Location:

Flexible within Greater South‑West – mixture of offices, project sites and home.

Hours:

45 hours per week (some flexibility available).

• Manage the design process from initial concept through to detailed design, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
• Coordinate with multi‑disciplinary teams to drive innovative and cost‑effective engineering solutions.
• Build collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Manage design quality procedures and ensure timely delivery of design information.
• Support digital design initiatives and ensure compliance with BIM standards.

• Level 6 qualification (degree or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
• Experience delivering high‑value, complex design work from the main contractor perspective.
• Experience managing and driving a multi‑disciplinary technical engineering team.
• Ability to organise, plan, programme and manage workloads.
• Commercial awareness.
• Full driving licence.
