Temporary Works Engineer

Location:

Exeter | Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 DOE | Job Type: Permanent, Full‑Time

• Deliver temporary works designs across a variety of construction projects
• Act as a key account manager and main point of contact for major clients
• Produce quotations and forecasting for customer enquiries
• Prepare Temporary Works Design Briefs and support clients with suitable design solutions
• Carry out site visits, surveys, and inspections as required
• Produce concept and detailed engineering designs and technical drawings
• Provide technical support to colleagues and clients
• Ensure designs comply with BS5975 and CDM
  2015 regulations
• Coordinate and mentor junior team members
• Work independently across multiple projects and deadlines

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within UK Temporary Works Engineering
• Good knowledge of BS5975 and temporary works procedures
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills
• Strong mathematical and numerical ability
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and general arrangements
• Strong IT skills
• Working towards Chartership with ICE or IStruct

• Experience with in permanent works engineering advantageous
• Full UK driving licence preferred
