Tank Recruitment has been engaged to recruit an Electrical Site Manager for one of our clients on a project in Exeter.
The RoleWe're looking for an experienced electrical site manager to oversee all electrical works on a 132 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project based in Exeter. This is a purely electrical scope – no civils involvement. You will manage on-site electrical operations, coordinate subcontractors, ensure quality standards and programme delivery, and maintain a safe working environment throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Requirements- Electrical qualification:
City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regs) or equivalent; HNC/HND in Electrical engineering an advantage - SMSTS / CSCS black card
- Proven electrical site management experience
- BESS, renewables, or HV/LV infrastructure experience strongly preferred
- Manage day-to-day electrical operations on site
- Coordinate and supervise electrical subcontractors
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
- Produce and review method statements and risk assessments
- Attend progress meetings and report to the project management team
- Maintain site records, inspection and test documentation
- Liaise with client, DNO, and other stakeholders as required
