As part of our Networks & Drainage Solutions team, you’ll help deliver sustainable, resilient, and innovative civil engineering solutions that support communities and protect the environment. This role is for an Assistant Civil Engineer who is passionate about water, drainage, and infrastructure to join our Water and Wastewater team in Exeter.

Our collaborative and multi-disciplinary team is one of the largest in the UK, providing water and wastewater infrastructure services alongside water mains design, drainage design, SuDS and surface water management. Our client base includes water companies, local authorities, highways authorities, Network Rail and developers.

• Develop experience by contributing to wastewater and surface water management projects, with opportunities to support the preparation of technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and industry leaders on initiatives to reduce Combined Sewer Overflow spills and minimize flooding.
• Help shape holistic water management strategies that transcend traditional boundaries, with a focus on sustainability, climate resilience, and protecting communities.
• Leverage digital tools and data to drive innovation and efficiency across the water and infrastructure sectors.

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Enthusiasm for civil, water, and environmental engineering.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
• Working towards, or interested in pursuing professional accreditation (e.g., ICE or CIWEM).
