Full-Time | 4-Day Week Considered Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer!
We are recruiting for a well-established and highly regarded engineering consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer specialising in Flood Risk and Drainage
.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer with extensive technical experience who is looking to take on a senior position with real responsibility, autonomy and the opportunity to influence projects.
Ideally, you'll have 10+ years' experience and be operating at Principal, Associate or Associate Director level.
The Role- Lead the design and delivery of flood risk and drainage engineering projects.
- Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), drainage strategies and SuDS designs.
- Design surface water and foul drainage systems.
- Provide technical leadership and support to junior engineers.
- Manage projects, coordinate with clients and liaise with local authorities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant planning policies, legislation and technical standards.
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the team.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on flood risk and drainage.
- Strong knowledge of FRAs, drainage strategies and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).
- Experience operating at Principal, Associate or Associate Director level.
- Ability to independently manage projects and provide technical leadership.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
- Experience using Causeway Flow, Micro Drainage or Info Drainage would be advantageous.
- Chartered Engineer status would be beneficial.
