Management Accountant

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Location: Exeter

This is an exciting opportunity to join City West Country Ltd, in our Finance Department at our Exeter Head Office! We are looking for a highly experienced Management Accountant with Motor Trade experience or 5 years commercial experience to support the production of management accounts covering multiple entities.

As the Management Accountant, you will support the preparation of management accounts across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

• Carry out balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
• Assist with financial reporting requirements and contribute to audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
• Help improve financial systems and processes to meet business needs.
• Provide support and cover for the Finance Manager as required.
• Operate the accounting and management information systems in line with the company and the Brand standards.
• Promote a high level of customer service, encouraging the team to build strong relationships with colleagues in our business and external customers.
• Be accountable for continuous professional development to maintain and improve accounting expertise for the Finance team.
• Build good relationships with manufacturers, professional bodies, suppliers, and statutory representatives.

• Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA ideally) or qualified by experience (QBE).
• Commercial awareness and ability to understand the bigger picture with the Brand and the business.
• Ability to work at pace in a rapidly changing and a customer focused environment.
• Advance IT skills – very proficient in dealership management systems, Excel and data gathering and manipulation.
