Our client is a well-established and growing organisation with ambitious plans for continued expansion. They are now seeking a commercially astute Financial Controller to join their senior finance team in a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape financial strategy and support business growth.
Your new role Reporting into senior leadership, you will take full ownership of the finance function, leading on financial governance, reporting excellence and strategic insight. This is a highly visible role, partnering closely with key stakeholders to drive performance, improve decision-making and support long-term business objectives. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing financial controls, optimising processes and ensuring the finance function operates as a true business partner across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading and developing the finance function, ensuring best-in-class financial processes and controls
Managing, mentoring and developing a small finance team to deliver high performance
Delivering accurate, timely and insightful management accounts and financial reporting
Taking ownership of statutory compliance, including VAT and regulatory requirements
Providing strategic financial insight and partnering with senior stakeholders
Driving cash flow management, financial planning and forecasting activities
Leading the budgeting and long-term planning process
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and control
What you'll need to succeed
Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant
Proven experience operating at Financial Controller level within a dynamic or growing business
Strong leadership capability, with a track record of developing finance teams
Excellent technical expertise across reporting, controls, compliance and process improvement
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
