We're recruiting an Employment Tax Manager in Exeter on behalf of a highly respected and growing accountancy and business advisory firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Employment Tax professional to join a specialist team, managing a varied portfolio of clients while delivering high-quality advisory work across PAYE, NICs, benefits, IR35 and global mobility.

The Role

You'll manage client relationships and deliver practical employment tax advice, working closely with colleagues across tax, HR, finance and legal.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver employment tax advisory work across PAYE, NICs, benefits, IR35 and global mobility
• Manage a portfolio of clients and build strong relationships
• Advise on IR35 and off-payroll working, including reviews and remediation
• Carry out employment tax risk reviews, audits and due diligence
• Advise on tax-efficient remuneration and termination packages
• Support business development, proposals and identifying new opportunities
• Keep clients informed of legislative changes and emerging employment tax risks
• Work collaboratively with HR, Finance, Legal and wider Tax teams
• Coach and support junior team members
• Contribute to the continued growth of the Employment Tax offering

About You

You'll be ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified, or have equivalent experience, with strong UK employment tax experience.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience working in Employment Tax at Manager level
• Strong technical knowledge of PAYE, NICs, P11
  
  Ds and PSAs
• Experience advising on IR35 and off-payroll working
• Exposure to global mobility is advantageous
• Strong client relationship and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach
• Excellent organisational and project management skills
• A genuine interest in developing your career within Employment Tax
