Finance Assistant

Salary: £29,000 - £31,000 per annum
Location: Exeter (Hybrid)
Contract: Permanent (Full Time)

We are currently supporting a well-established organisation with the appointment of a Finance Assistant to join their established finance team based on the outskirts of Exeter.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy and is comfortable working within a busy, high-volume finance environment.

The role will primarily focus on Purchase Ledger
, while also providing support across the wider finance function when required.

• Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Assisting with supplier payment runs
• Responding to and resolving supplier queries
• Supporting a variety of day-to-day finance activities
• Processing and reconciling financial transactions
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Working with colleagues across the business to resolve queries
• Providing support to the wider finance team during periods of annual leave and absence
• Helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of a busy finance department
• Taking on additional finance duties as required

• Previous finance or accounts experience would be beneficial, but is not essential
• A positive, proactive and can-do attitude
• Excellent attention to detail
• A methodical and organised approach to work
• Comfortable working with numbers and financial data
• Strong focus on accuracy
• Dependable with a willingness to learn and develop
• Confident and professional communication skills
• Experience using finance or business systems would be advantageous
