To act as team member providing learning and development opportunities for, and facilitating learning and development in all staff groups, specifically with regard to their particular team’s objectives.

  • The post holder will assist in the planning, administration and delivery of training of all aspects of resuscitation including Basic and Advanced life support to appropriate groups across the organisation, for example Advanced Life Support (ALS), Immediate Life Support (ILS);
    Paediatric Immediate Life Support (pILS) and European Paediatric Advanced Life Support (EPALS) courses. This will include teaching Clinical staff and students, qualified and unqualified Nurses, Paramedic staff, other hospital personnel and various members of the community.
  • The post holder will assist, under the supervision of the Senior Resuscitation Practitioner, in providing professional advice and support in relation to resuscitation training, techniques and equipment. The duties of the post include involvement in the review and audit of hospital resuscitation procedures.
  • The post holder will attend medical emergencies and cardiac arrests and support staff during and after these events.
  • The postholder will provide ALS cover at CDC Nightingale hospital which will involve some weekend work.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week.
