Role Summary

We are offering an extremely interesting and unique opportunity to work as a Booking Clerk in the Preparation for Surgery Department. We are looking for a flexible and motivated person with excellent organisational skills and work professionally to a high standard. The role is primarily office-based; however, you will be required to provide cover for a busy reception area when needed.

You must have the ability to use your own initiative and work well under pressure, together with being a reliable and proven team member. You will be working with a wide range of people and communicating with both patients and staff; therefore, empathy and patience are essential.

  • To provide Administrative support function to Medical Secretaries, clinicians and the wider team.
  • Booking patients in a timely manner from waiting lists.
  • To ensure patient/staff safety and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times.
  • Communicating with patients and our clinical staff—including handling patient calls and inquiries, as well as addressing nurse queries.

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday - hours
