In accordance with the National Specifications of Cleanliness in the NHS 2025 and other healthcare cleanliness associated documentation, the post holder’s key objective will be to maintain the high standards of cleanliness of the environment and patient equipment in various ward areas on site.

Cleaning experience is desirable although full training will be given. Responsibilities will include general cleaning tasks such as the disposal of refuse, high / low dusting, cleaning sanitary areas, wet mopping; cleaning of patient equipment, etc. Staff uniform and training will be provided.

Development opportunities are available for those candidates wishing to pursue a career in the NHS.

Working Pattern: To be discussed and confirmed at interview.

30 hrs per week (07:15-13:15), two out of three weekends to include Public Holidays.

30 hrs per week (12:30-18:30), two out of three weekends to include Public Holidays.

37.5 hrs per week (07:15-15:15), two out of three weekends to include Public Holidays.

37.5 hrs per week (12:30-18:30), two out of three weekends to include Public Holidays.

37.5 hrs per week (06:00-14:00), two out of three weekends to include Public Holidays. (Specialist)

37.5 hrs per week (10:00-18:00), two out of three weekends to include Public Holidays. (Specialist)

37.5 hrs per week (12:00-20:00), two out of three weekends to include Public Holidays. (Specialist)

37.5 hrs per week (14:00-22:00), two out of three weekends to include Public Holidays. (Specialist)

37.5 hrs per week (08:00-16:00), two out of three weekends to include Public Holidays. (Floor Team)

12 hrs per week (Thurs & Fri x 6 hrs per day – start and end times can be agreed between the core hours of 07:00-17:00)
