This is a non-clinical role to assist the clinical teams in re-stocking essential equipment, moving patients to investigations and onto their assessment wards. Managing stock levels of some equipment. Managing to flow of linen throughout the department as well as ensuring general order within the department. In this role, you will be required to do a lot of physical and manual handling.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Emergency Department (ED) for a band 2 Support Worker (non-clinical). We are averaging nearly 106000 patients per year, approx. 290 patients per day. We see all specialties including Paediatrics, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Medical and Surgical. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and committed Support Workers to assist in all areas of the department. ED has recently undergone a large redesign and there is now an exciting opportunity to form part of a new team and contribute towards an even better way of working.

You will be part of a well-established team, with a commitment to providing excellence in Emergency care. We work alongside a multi-disciplinary team, in a Trust which aims to make all its services exemplary in both clinical and operational aspect

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. We operate 24/7. Hence, we will need you to work a range of shift patterns. These range from short shifts, day shifts between 8am and 8pm and 12.5-hour day and night shifts, weekends as well as bank holidays. Please do check this at your interview.
