This is a non‑patient facing secretarial role based in the Cancer and Elective Division, working across Northern and Eastern services. This role is crucial and supports the Cancer and Elective Senior Management Team and the Cancer Services Management Team.
Job responsibilitiesTo provide high quality personal assistance to the Divisional Management Team including responsible administrative support in their absence, using own initiative and working without supervision. To support members of the Senior Management Team and to maintain smooth running of the Divisional Office. To develop a number of projects within the Division to include a range of staff engagement initiatives, patient engagement events, some admin work to support Divisional Governance, development of newsletters/social media engagement mechanisms and service profiles.
To use knowledge and expertise to facilitate service improvement to identify opportunities for redesign and sustainable improvement. Use highly developed leadership and influencing skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve individuals and teams across the Trust, such that they understand and work to achieve the Trusts' performance expectations.
Deploy expert communication, negotiation and influencing skills to build and maintain excellent working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders on a range of service improvement projects, driving and challenging each key working relationship to innovate and achieve reform in accordance with agreed objectives.
Working patternMonday – Friday, 37.5 hours.
