Emergency Medical Dispatcher – Exeter
Position within South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. Closing date: 07 August 2026.
Responsibilities- Act as the first point of contact when someone calls 999 for a medical emergency.
- Listen, assess and respond with care by capturing vital information from callers.
- Offer reassurance and help ensure every patient receives the right care at the right time.
- Operate as part of a 24/7 365‑day shift system, working day, night, bank holiday, weekend or any day.
- Age between 18 and 30.
- Based in the United Kingdom with right to work.
- Part‑time hours may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
- Standard working week of 37.5 hours.
- Holiday entitlement of 27 days per year (plus public holidays).
- Pay enhancements for out‑of‑hours, shift and overtime working.
