ACCOUNTABLE TO: Curriculum Manager
ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Supporting and mentoring individuals within ROC College
HOURS: Relief (zero-hours) contract – flexible shifts
SALARY: 13.25 per hour plus 12.07% holiday pay
What We’re Looking For- Experience working with individuals with SEND, including complex learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge.
- Patient, supportive, enthusiastic and creative; able to provide accessible education content tailored to our students.
- Experience supporting Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) practice and promoting lifelong learning.
- Strong understanding of complex behavioural needs is highly advantageous.
- Ability to travel across the community with students; willingness to train in communication methods such as Proloquo2, Makaton.
- Ability to work as part of a small team.
- Experience aiding the development of independence and assisting individuals in accessing work experience placements.
As part of the ROC College team you will support students aged 16–25 with EHCPs to develop life skills in community settings such as learning hubs, libraries, workplaces and leisure facilities. You will assess student progress and outcomes, and help provide accredited learning based on a personalised curriculum. You will choose from available shifts based on your availability and preferences, providing maximum flexibility.
