Specialist Biomedical Scientist

We are looking for a competent and experienced state registered Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our team of Scientists in the Exeter Histology Department.
Responsibilities- Assist in the day‑to‑day running of the department under the supervision of a senior BMS/Laboratory Manager.
- Apply up‑to‑date knowledge of histological techniques in testing specimens and interpreting histology investigations.
- Be competent and experienced in all relevant methodologies used in histological investigations and techniques.
- Recent experience in a histology laboratory.
- Complete and verified IBMS specialist portfolio as per the essential criteria.
- Band 6 specialist only; a Band 5 or trainee Biomedical Scientist with an IBMS accredited degree (or equivalent) and recent histology laboratory experience may also be considered.
37.5 hours per week. Monday–Friday 08:30–17:00.
