An exciting opportunity has become available within the infection prevention and control team. We are currently looking for a Band 6 Paramedic/Nurse with experience or interest in infection prevention within the Emergency Ambulance Service.
Job responsibilitiesAs a key member of the Infection Prevention and Control team, duties will include undertaking audit, surveillance, education and supporting campaigns. You will guide and support clinical staff on Infection Prevention and Control guidelines and policies, promoting safe, quality, patient‑centred care. You will be committed to quality improvement, engaging with staff and translating guidance and strategy into changes of care.
Person Specification Education and qualifications- Registered clinician (Paramedic or Nurse)
- Educated to degree level.
- Basic Infection Control Course.
- Teaching course or equivalent (or able to demonstrate mentorship / teaching experience)
- Recognised post graduate qualification in IPC, or equivalent experience.
- Proven leadership experience
- Broad clinical experience in an acute or community healthcare setting.
- Experience in infection prevention and control audit, surveillance and using evidence‑based care.
- Experience in implementing local infection prevention and control policies.
- Experience relating to IPC.
- Experience in planning, delivering and evaluating teaching programmes.
- Standard working week of 37.5 hours

£39,959 to £48,117 a year, pro rata.
