About the role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Crisis Recovery Worker to join our team. The role involves providing essential support to individuals in crisis, assessing their needs, delivering emotional guidance, and promoting mental health and wellbeing. It requires working in a fast‑paced environment with clients experiencing mental health challenges, contributing to a supportive team, and partnering with local agencies and external networks.
Hours:
12 per week
Salary: £8,515 – £9,401 per annum (£26,607 – £29,378 FTE)
Location:
The Mooring, Exeter – Wonford House, Dryden Road, Exeter, EX2 5AF
- Support people who use the service throughout their journey to reach their personal objectives
- Assist with accessing statutory support, including psychological interventions
- Provide responsive support through face‑to‑face, virtual, and telephone interactions
- Develop and maintain a solid understanding of community resources and partner organisations to signpost clients and promote social inclusion
- Instill a sense of hope and well‑being, empowering clients to regain control over their lives
- Help clients engage with and establish connections within their local communities
- Aided clients in finding satisfaction across various aspects of their lives
- Health and Social Care Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) required
- Experience working with mental health clients, inspiring and engaging them
- Ability to identify barriers, understand client needs, and possess excellent motivational skills
- Experience with one‑to‑one engagement, group facilitation, signposting, and mainstream provision
- Understanding of complex needs including mental health, learning, physical and substance misuse (advantage)
