Overview
Join Our Team as an ADOS Assessor CYP – 2-Week Contract. This role involves supporting a specialist neurodevelopmental assessment service delivering autism diagnostic assessments for children and young people. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a growing service focused on timely, person-centred autism assessments.
Responsibilities- Conduct CYP ADOS-2 assessments with children and young people as part of an autism diagnostic pathway
- Gather relevant clinical observations, information, and assessment findings to support diagnostic decision-making
- Produce clear, accurate, and timely clinical reports and documentation
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and other clinicians
- Ensure all assessments align with NICE guidelines, professional standards, and service procedures
- Provide a compassionate, child-centred approach throughout every stage of the assessment process
- Professional registration with NMC, HCPC, or Social Work England
- Prior experience working with children and young people in health, social care, education, or neurodevelopmental services
- ADOS-2 training and practical assessment experience is essential
- Knowledge of autism assessment pathways and neurodevelopmental presentations
- Strong written communication skills for high-quality report writing
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
