We are seeking an experienced Band 8 Clinical Psychologist to work within a Secure Children's Home, supporting children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a highly specialist environment, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes for vulnerable young people.

Key Responsibilities Undertake specialist psychological assessments and develop formulations for children and adolescents with complex presentations. Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions tailored to individual needs, including trauma-informed approaches where appropriate. Contribute to multidisciplinary care planning and risk management strategies. Provide consultation, guidance, and reflective practice sessions to residential care staff and partner agencies. Support young people with issues including trauma, attachment difficulties, emotional dysregulation, offending behaviour, neurodevelopmental conditions, and other mental health concerns.

Produce high-quality clinical reports and maintain accurate case records in line with professional standards. Contribute to service development, staff training, and clinical governance initiatives. Requirements Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent recognised qualification). Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) . Significant post-qualification experience working with children and young people with complex psychological needs.

Experience with in secure settings, forensic services, CAMHS, youth justice, residential care, or similar specialist environments is highly desirable. Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and risk assessment. Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary working skills. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and the right to work in the UK.
