Senior Physiotherapist

Exeter Hospital | Physiotherapy | Permanent contract | Full time and Part Time hours available.

Salary:
Up to £45,400 per annum pro rata, depending on experience.

Hours:

37.5 per week.

Our Physiotherapy team at Exeter Hospital currently has an opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist. This role covers musculoskeletal outpatients and inpatient work primarily in orthopaedics and general surgery.

Role

The role is a mixture of musculoskeletal outpatients and inpatient work primarily covering orthopaedics and some general surgery. Flexible hours, mainly in outpatients but will include working on the inpatient ward on Fridays.

Provide high quality clinical care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions and postoperative cases, within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHPS and consultants.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high quality clinical care.
  • Adhere to values and beliefs at Nuffield Health.
  • Provide evidence‑based, safe, effective, caring and well‑led care responsive to patients' needs.
  • Ensure ongoing monitoring of standard of treatment.
  • Be compliant with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other QA processes.
  • Work in both inpatient ward and outpatient clinic settings, including weekend ward rota.
Qualifications & Experience
  • BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, registered with HCPC and CSP.
  • Minimum 2 years post‑graduate experience.
  • Experience in both musculoskeletal outpatients and inpatient ward.
  • High level of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic knowledge.
  • Experience in NHS and private healthcare services.
  • Evidence of further professional training and CPD.
  • Confident communicator with ability to engage effectively with patients, public, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to auscultate a chest.
  • Proficient IT user with strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage varied workload effectively and timely.
  • Availability for weekend rota.
