Exeter Hospital | Physiotherapy | Permanent contract | Full time and Part Time hours available

Up to £45,400 per annum pro rata, depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

About the Role

Our Physiotherapy team at Exeter Hospital is looking for a Senior Physiotherapist. The role covers musculoskeletal outpatients as well as inpatients on the orthopaedics and general surgery ward. It is a permanent position with a maximum of 37.5 hours per week, and both full‑time and part‑time applications will be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality clinical care.
  • Adhere to the values and beliefs at Nuffield Health.
  • Provide evidence‑based, safe, effective, caring, well‑led, and responsive care, meeting patients’ needs.
  • Ensure ongoing monitoring of the standard of treatment delivered.
  • Maintain compliance with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and quality assurance processes.
  • Work in both inpatient ward and outpatient clinic settings, with participation on the weekend ward rota.
To Succeed
  • Hold a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • Have a minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience.
  • Have experience in both musculoskeletal outpatients and on an inpatient ward.
  • Demonstrate a high level of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic knowledge.
  • Understand and have experience of both the NHS and private healthcare services.
  • Show evidence of further professional training and ongoing professional development.
  • Be a confident communicator, engaging effectively with patients, the public and healthcare professionals.
  • Be a competent IT user with strong organisational skills.
  • Prioritise and handle a varied workload effectively and timely.
  • Participate in the weekend ward rota as part of the team.
