This is a similar role to that of a care worker but with more responsibilities. You may be supervising and supporting a team of care workers to ensure that a shift runs smoothly, and you will help to develop individual care plans for service users. You may also be tasked with writing rotas, carrying out appraisals, and delivering training sessions to the team.

The average wage for this role in Devon is from £10.39 to £12.85 per hour. Depending on the role, you may be required to work or be on call during the evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. However, there are opportunities to work Monday to Friday.

Entry requirements

You will need to have experience of working in care plus qualifications in Health & Social Care, and at least a Level 2 qualification (GCSE or Functional Skills) in maths and English.
