Academy Health and Wellbeing Physiologist – Exeter Hospital

Permanent contract, full‑time, 40 hours per week. Salary up to £27,900 per annum depending on experience.

In this entry role in our Physiology department you will provide health assessment, prevention, rehabilitation and fitness promotion as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role is mobile within the region of your base site and will involve travel.

• Join our multidisciplinary team of doctors, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.
• Complete the in‑house three‑week training course and award‑winning preceptorship programme during your first 12 months.
• Deliver health assessments that support health and wellbeing goals and promote prevention as well as rehabilitation and recovery.
• Help promote health and fitness as part of our holistic, comprehensive health service.
• Support prevention, rehabilitation and recovery, putting clients’ needs first.

• Minimum 2:2 Sport and Exercise Science degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology and nutrition, and the ability to apply this in practice.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the region of your base site.
