About

The Role

As an Social events Co-Ordinator, you'll work closely with residents, their families and the wider care team to deliver a varied programme of activities that reflects each person's interests, hobbies and life experiences.

You’ll encourage residents to remain active, social and engaged while supporting their emotional, physical and cognitive wellbeing in a warm and welcoming environment.

What you'll do:
  • Planning and delivering a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities.
  • Getting to know residents and understanding their interests, hobbies and life stories.
  • Supporting celebrations, themed events and seasonal activities throughout the year.
  • Encouraging residents to participate while respecting individual choices and abilities.
  • Helping organise entertainers, community visits and intergenerational activities.
  • Building positive relationships with local schools, community groups and volunteers.
  • Working alongside the care team to ensure activities are personalised and inclusive.
  • Recording activities and resident engagement accurately in line with company procedures.
  • Taking photographs and creating displays or newsletters (with appropriate consent).
  • Supporting occasional special events and celebrations, including some evenings where required.
About You

  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Is creative and enjoys coming up with new ideas.
  • Can work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Is flexible, reliable and willing to get involved.
  • Previous experience in activities, health and social care, hospitality, education or customer service would be an advantage but isn't essential, as full training will be provided.
