Role SummaryWe are delighted to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and proactive individual to join our supportive clinical team, providing essential administrative support to the Perinatal Pathway for Vaccinations service.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of our immunisation service. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the oversight of the vaccination programme through the collection, monitoring and analysis of quality data, helping to inform service improvements and enhance patient care.
Applicants should have previous administrative experience, strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, and a willingness to learn. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to develop knowledge and understanding of the Perinatal Pathway and associated vaccination programmes.
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring both local and national vaccination reporting systems, ensuring compliance with national requirements. Information gathered within the role will contribute to local performance monitoring and national reporting processes.

Perinatal Pathway for Vaccination Failsafe Officer
The post holder will complete and monitor systemson a daily basisto ensure national requirements are being met, escalatingany areas of concern, and highlighting incidents or breaches to the relevant clinical team.
They will provide high qualitydata to the clinical team ready for national submission of activity reports and enhanced data reporting.
This includes data for Pertussis, RSV and FLU, as well as the neonatal BCG vaccination programme.
They will liaise closely with community midwifery teams, community vaccination hubs, and other Trusts to ensure the smooth running of the Vaccination service. This will include regular attendance at meetings.
They will contribute to quarterly and annual audits in line with regional reporting requirements, with the aim of optimising the delivery of the Perinatal Vaccination pathway.

Working Pattern:30 hours per week - on site RDUH (Eastern Services - Exeter)
Please note, this is a fixed term contract until 16/08/2027. For current NHS employees this post could be a secondment opportunity.
