The post holder is responsible for the day to day operational management and oversight of the Imaging bookings service covering Wonford, Mobile locations and the CDC in Nightingale Hospital. The role includes proactive monitoring of DMO1 compliance to prevent breaches of diagnostic waiting time targets.

The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Day-to-day operational management
  of the Imaging bookings service across:
  • Wonford
  • Mobile imaging locations
  • CDC at Nightingale Hospital
• Managing and supporting administrative staff
  , including workload allocation, performance, attendance, recruitment and development.
• Monitoring the imaging waiting list and identifying patients approaching diagnostic waiting-time limits.
• DM01 compliance — making sure patients receive their diagnostic test within the required timeframe and taking action before a breach occurs.
• Capacity and demand management — working with radiographers, radiologists, clinicians and operational teams to make sure available scanning capacity is used effectively.
• Escalating risks where capacity, staffing, equipment or demand could result in breaches.
• Performance reporting
  , analysing waiting-list data and producing information for senior management.
• Service improvement
  , looking for ways to improve booking processes, patient pathways and utilisation of imaging capacity.
• Working across multiple sites
  , so communication and coordination will be particularly important.

Working location will include Osprey House at Sowton Industrial Estate and main hospital within A template.

Working Pattern:37.5, Monday - Friday 8-4
