HR Manager - Standalone

A great opportunity for an HR Manager - Standalone, for an established and growing manufacturing and distribution business, who are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the people agenda across the organisation. This is a broad and influential standalone HR leadership role, reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and delivering the people strategy whilst providing hands-on support across the full employee life cycle.

This opportunity would suit an experienced HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic HR initiatives with operational delivery and is comfortable working within a fast-paced SME environment.

The Role As Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a proactive and commercially focused HR service across the business. You will partner with leaders and managers to drive employee engagement, organisational effectiveness, talent development and business performance. THIS ROLE IS 5 DAYS PER WEEK ON SITE

Key responsibilities include:

Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and leaders across the organisation. Developing and delivering HR strategies aligned to business objectives. Providing expert support and guidance on a wide range of people matters. Leading talent attraction, workforce planning and recruitment activity. Driving succession planning and talent development initiatives. Supporting organisational design, change management and employee engagement programmes. Managing employee relations matters, providing pragmatic and commercially focused advice.

Advising managers on performance management, capability and development plans. Developing and maintaining HR policies and procedures in line with employment legislation and best practice. Managing HR systems, reporting and people metrics. Ensuring compliance with GDPR and employment legislation. Delivering HR inductions and supporting learning and development activities. Managing employee benefits administration and supporting annual benefits reviews. Identifying opportunities to improve and modernise HR processes.

Keeping abreast of employment law developments and HR best practice. About You We're looking for an experienced HR professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills.

You will have:

CIPD Level 5 qualification or above or equivalent. Significant HR generalist experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing, logistics, distribution or operational environment. Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing business decisions. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application. Proven experience managing complex employee relations matters. Experience leading recruitment, talent management and organisational development initiatives. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present HR data.

Experience using HRIS/HRMS systems. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Exceptional organisational and prioritisation abilities. A proactive approach with the confidence to challenge and influence where appropriate. Previous experience within an SME environment. Key Attributes The successful candidate will be:
