- Exeter, Devon (Candidates must be UK-based – office attendance may be once a month)
- Up to £55,000 per year

- Proven experience as a Senior Dev Ops Engineer, demonstrating strong mentoring skills across multiple initiatives, with deep expertise in AWS and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, ECS, ECR, and Cloud Front.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket, managing and creating pipelines as required.
- Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies (Docker).
- Strong scripting and automation skills in bash, Power Shell and Python.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (AWS Cloud Watch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
- Certified AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, including security features such as iptables and routing tables.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems and associated security features.
- Good knowledge in network engineering to manage VPCs and SGs within AWS.
- Flexibility to work outside normal working hours as service demands dictate.
- Flexibility to travel between core sites to assist with new service implementation and support issues.
- Ability and desire to learn new technologies with a passion for developing new skills and related accreditations.

The role is responsible for defining and enforcing Dev Ops standards, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring targets are met in a positive work environment for a diverse selection of clients.
Additionally, the role will be accountable for the availability, performance, resilience and security of the core platform and infrastructure, undertaking all actions necessary to meet agreed operating constraints and budget.
You will design, build and maintain our cloud infrastructure, optimizing for cost, security and performance; monitor overall system performance, security levels and service availability; and ensure security best practices are followed for AWS resources, including IAM policies, encryption and network security.
