Senior Digital Marketing Manager – Search Lead

This is a senior, strategic role for someone who truly understands where search is going, not where it’s been.
You’ll take ownership of search across the agency, spanning technical SEO, content strategy, GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) and Social Search.
This isn’t about maintaining performance.
It’s about defining what modern search looks like, internally, across clients, and in the wider market.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, influence commercial outcomes, and play a key role in positioning the agency as a leader in next-generation search.
What You’ll Be Doing Search Strategy & Performance- Lead SEO, GEO and Social Search strategies across client accounts
- Translate business goals into clear, commercially focused plans
- Own performance across rankings, traffic, engagement and conversion
- Continuously evolve strategy based on data and emerging trends
- Set direction on technical SEO (site health, indexation, performance)
- Oversee keyword strategy, audits and competitor analysis
- Ensure content is driven by intent and discoverability
- Embed best practice across content, design and development
- Ensure tracking and reporting is meaningful and accurate
- Focus on commercial impact, not vanity metrics
- Lead search conversations in client meetings and QBRs
- Translate complexity into commercially relevant insight
- Identify growth opportunities across channels
- Integrate search into full-funnel marketing strategies
- Collaborate with Paid, Social, Content and Strategy teams
You will:
- Lead and develop search capability across the agency
- Provide QA, mentoring and training
- Build frameworks and best practice
- Bring new thinking into the business
You’ll also contribute to:
- Webinars, events and thought leadership
- AI-driven and GEO search development
- Agency positioning in modern search
- Senior-level SEO strategy experience (agency or in-house)
- Strong technical + content + strategic understanding
