Application Operations Engineer – 15153

Location: Exeter - 1 Days per Week on site

  - Maintain secure configurations and accurate information.

  - Manage service components to ensure they meet business needs and KPIs.

  - Implement change requests. Apply change control procedures under supervision.

  - Understand process efficiency improvement techniques and common optimisation approaches. Support activities that improve development processes. Identify obvious process deficiencies.
• Incident Management
  - Identify and log incidents. Gather required information and route incidents through the correct channels.
• Ownership and Initiative
  - Take ownership of issues until they are resolved, mitigated, or transferred to a new owner.
• Problem Management
  - Investigate problems affecting systems, processes, and services. Recognise whether problems are strategic, tactical, or operational. Contribute to implementing fixes and preventative measures.
• Technical Specialism
  - Support technical activities. Carry out routine maintenance and administration tasks.
• Technical Understanding
  - Ability to develop an awareness of relevant subject matter and a high-level understanding of key concepts.
• Testing
  - Execute test scripts correctly under supervision. Understand the purpose and role of testing.
• User Focus
  - Engage with users and stakeholders to gather evidence of user needs. Define and support research activities aligned to user requirements. Use qualitative and quantitative user data to drive outcomes
