The Role
Based in our Exeter office of over 100 people, we're looking for an IT Support Engineer who enjoys solving problems, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring colleagues have the technology and support they need to perform at their best.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll support over 700 colleagues across the business, helping to maintain a secure, efficient, and reliable IT environment. From resolving technical issues and setting up new equipment to supporting key business systems and contributing to continuous improvements, you'll play an important role in keeping the organisation running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing
* Providing 1st and 2nd line support to colleagues across the business, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
* Acting as a key point of contact for IT support requests, delivering a professional and customer-focused service.
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and business applications.
* Managing support tickets through to resolution, ensuring users are kept informed throughout.
* Setting up equipment, accounts, and access rights for new starters.
* Supporting user offboarding activities, ensuring accounts, equipment, and permissions are managed securely.
* Assisting with the administration of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune.
* Supporting network connectivity, VPN access, printers, and meeting room technology.
* Maintaining accurate asset registers and IT documentation.
* Assisting with software deployments, upgrades, and security updates.
* Supporting local office IT requirements while working closely with the wider IT team.
* Contributing ideas to improve support processes, user experience, and operational efficiency.
What You Bring
We're looking for someone who takes ownership of issues, enjoys helping people, and brings a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be comfortable working independently whilst also collaborating effectively with colleagues across the business.
Key Experience & Skills
* Previous experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, or 1st/2nd Line Support role.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11 environments.
* Hands-on experience supporting:
* Microsoft 365 applications and services.
* Active Directory, Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
* User account administration and access management.
* Good understanding of networking fundamentals including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, and VPN technologies.
* Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, mobile devices, and peripheral issues.
* Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
* A proactive, enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
* IT qualifications or certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals, ITIL, or equivalent.
* Experience with HP laptops and enterprise device management.
* Exposure to Apple/Mac environments.
* Experience working within a professional services or multi-site organisation.
* Familiarity with cyber security best practices and endpoint security solutions.
