About the Role

Lloyd & Whyte, part of Benefact Group, is looking for an Insurance Consultant to join our Community Broking team at our Exeter office.

As an Insurance Consultant
, you will provide exceptional service and advice to clients in order to maximise satisfaction. You will be ambitious to achieve new business and related product income targets, maintain the highest retention levels in support of the overall business strategy, and handle mid‑term adjustments, queries and claims promptly and accurately.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual and team new business income and retention targets, service KPIs, and meet workflow standards
  • Manage client relationships by visiting and arranging video meetings when required
  • Provide holistic insurance reviews for clients, identifying and promoting related products for both new and existing business clients
  • Continuously improve and maintain technical competence with in‑depth knowledge of relevant products, market trends, and underwriting guidelines to handle referrals and complex work
  • Provide on‑hand support and coaching to the team, ensuring a consistent approach is adopted for process and advice, and that procedures and guidelines are followed
Qualifications
  • Creative and effective in shaping the team to focus on service, quality standards, and efficiency
  • Confident and capable of building rapport over the telephone to provide an excellent client experience
  • Ability to work in a regulated, compliant, and client‑focused environment
  • Organised, resourceful, deadline‑driven, and supportive of the wider team
  • Driven to be proactive to new challenges and positively shape the desired opportunities and outcomes
  • Hold Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance
