A progressive and highly regarded law firm in Exeter is expanding its Corporate & Commercial team and is now recruiting a Corporate Commercial Solicitor or Partner-level Lawyer. This role offers genuine progression, quality work and a realistic route to senior leadership for the right individual.

This opportunity will suit a Senior Associate ready to step up or a Salaried Partner looking for a stronger platform, better work-life balance, and long-term career security in the South West.

The Opportunity

This is not a backfill. The firm is investing in growth and strengthening its corporate offering across Devon and beyond. You'll join a well-established team advising a broad client base ranging from owner-managed businesses and SMEs to investors, funders, and high-growth companies.

You will work on high-quality corporate commercial matters with the autonomy and support expected at senior level.

Key Responsibilities - Corporate Commercial Law

You will advise on a broad range of corporate and commercial legal matters, including:

• Mergers and acquisitions
• Business and share sales and purchases
• Company law and corporate governance
• Corporate restructuring and strategic planning
• Commercial contracts and trading agreements
• Shareholder agreements and investment documentation
• Business growth, succession, and asset protection

You will also play a key role in:

• Developing long-term client relationships
• Supporting junior lawyers and contributing to team growth
• Helping shape the future direction of the corporate departent

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (England & Wales)
• Strong background in corporate and/or commercial law
• Typically 3+ years PQE, but more senior candidates encouraged to apply
• No requirement for an existing client following
• Looking for genuine progression rather than empty promises
