Position: Solicitor – Insurance Disputes / Litigation

Our client, a well-regarded law firm is looking to recruit an Associate Solicitor to join its established Dispute Resolution team in Exeter.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor with experience in insurance disputes, personal injury and/or wider civil litigation to join a collaborative and supportive team. The role offers high-quality work, strong partner support and the opportunity to develop within a respected litigation practice.

The Role

You will advise and represent clients across a varied caseload of insurance and litigation matters. This may include coverage disputes, policy interpretation, liability claims, subrogated recovery work, personal injury matters and broader civil litigation.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage files with an appropriate level of independence, progress matters through the litigation process, consider ADR where suitable, and maintain strong client relationships throughout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising clients on insurance disputes, liability matters and civil litigation
  • Managing and progressing files independently where appropriate
  • Handling matters through litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution
  • Taking client instructions and ensuring compliance procedures are followed
  • Undertaking legal research where required
  • Supporting marketing, business development and profile-raising activity
  • Ensuring matters are managed in line with internal procedures and client service standards
  • Participating in team and firm-wide training
About You

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with strong technical ability and experience in insurance disputes, personal injury or civil litigation.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Commercial awareness and sound judgement
