Salary: £60,000 to £85,000 A nationally recognised law firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate (3-6 years PQE) to join its highly regarded Planning & Environmental team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to work on major infrastructure projects and complex development matters within a practice ranked in Chambers and Legal 500.
You’ll be responsible for advising on a diverse range of planning and infrastructure matters, including:
- Development Consent Orders for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects
- Infrastructure consenting regimes and examination processes
- Town and Country Planning Act matters, including applications, appeals and development strategy
- Negotiating section 106 agreements, highways agreements and related documentation
- Providing planning support on corporate, real estate, energy and infrastructure transactions
- Working collaboratively across the wider Transactional Property Group
- Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser
- Supporting business development and contributing to the growth of the practice
- Sharing knowledge and supporting junior colleagues
- Approximately 3-6 years PQE (flexible for strong candidates)
- Experience advising on DCOs, ICOs and/or major infrastructure consenting regimes
- Strong Town and Country Planning Act experience
- Experience in energy, transport, utilities or regeneration sectors (advantageous)
- Environmental law experience (beneficial but not essential)
- Strong drafting, analytical and technical skills
- Commercial, pragmatic and solutions focused approach
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
