A nationally regarded South West law firm is seeking a Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (0-5 PQE) to join its successful Dispute Resolution team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a broad range of commercial and civil litigation matters within a supportive, friendly and high performing team.
The RoleYou'll assist partners and senior lawyers on a varied caseload, with particular exposure to:
- Disputed wills and trusts
- Commercial litigation matters
- A broad range of disputes for businesses, charities, institutions and high net worth individuals
- Day to day conduct of files with support to build and develop your own caseload
- Opportunities to develop a specialism and carve out your own niche
- Regular team training, collaboration and involvement in wider firm activities
Initially, you will be office based in Exeter to familiarise yourself with the team and systems. The team works flexibly, typically attending the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Candidate RequirementsThis role is suited to a motivated, client focused lawyer who:
- Is a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 0-5 years PQE
- Has a practical and proactive approach to resolving disputes
- Ideally has some experience in contentious trusts and probate (not essential)
- Is a strong communicator and enjoys working collaboratively
- Is committed to delivering excellent client care
- Is keen to develop their skills and build a long term litigation career
