Salary: 60,000 to 85,000A nationally recognised law firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate (3-6 years PQE) to join its highly regarded Planning & Environmental team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to work on major infrastructure projects and complex development matters within a practice ranked in Chambers and Legal 500.
The Role You'll be responsible for advising on a diverse range of planning and infrastructure matters, including:
Development Consent Orders for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects Infrastructure consenting regimes and examination processes
Town and Country Planning Act matters, including applications, appeals and development strategy
Negotiating section 106 agreements, highways agreements and related documentation
Providing planning support on corporate, real estate, energy and infrastructure transactions
Working collaboratively across the wider Transactional Property Group Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser
Supporting business development and contributing to the growth of the practice
Sharing knowledge and supporting junior colleagues
Candidate Requirements Approximately 3-6 years PQE (flexible for strong candidates)
Experience advising on DCOs, ICOs and/or major infrastructure consenting regimes
Strong Town and Country Planning Act experience
Experience in energy, transport, utilities or regeneration sectors (advantageous)
Environmental law experience (beneficial but not essential)
Strong drafting, analytical and technical skills
Commercial, pragmatic and solutions focused approach
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Enthusiasm for business development and team collaboration
