Permanent, Full-time Salary: 55,000 to 80,000A leading international law firm is seeking an Associate to join its highly regarded Insurance Disputes team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative, high performing environment, working on a broad range of domestic and international insurance matters with strong partner support and clear progression.
The Role You'll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of insurance dispute matters, including:
Advising on insurance coverage, interpretation issues and liability claims
Handling subrogation matters and personal injury claims (both Claimant and Defendant)
Representing clients through litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution
Advising on contractual issues relating to insurance disputes
Assisting with civil litigation matters where required
Taking client instructions, attending meetings and managing compliance procedures
Progressing cases through the litigation process and considering ADR options
Conducting legal research and preparing written advice
Participating in team marketing and profile raising initiatives
Ensuring files are managed in line with Lexcel procedures and client service standards
Candidate Requirements This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
Strong technical skills and the ability to manage matters independently where appropriate
Excellent client facing skills and a commitment to high quality service
Drive, enthusiasm and a proactive, solutions focused approach
Commercial awareness and credibility
Strong academic background
Ability to manage volume work effectively and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Confidence taking responsibility and progressing files independently
